Synopsis
Menatang Syurga di Kakimu is a heartfelt and
inspiring publication that explores the beauty, sacrifices and spiritual
journey of a daughter taking care of her elderly parents through an Islamic
lens.
This programme is envisioned as more than a book launch. It is a
reflective community gathering that honours mothers, uplifts caregivers, and
reminds participants of the Islamic duty of love, service, gratitude and ihsan
towards parents. Through personal sharing, Islamic guidance and meaningful
conversation, the event seeks to bring together mothers, daughters, caregivers
and members of the community for an afternoon of reflection, learning and
spiritual renewal. It also aims to strengthen family values and raise support
for charitable causes close to the community.
The programme will feature a special sharing session by the book's
co-authors, Dr Sharifah Mariam Aljunied and Dr Nur Yakin Mohamed Ali, complemented by an Islamic reflection
by Ustazah Syariati Sulaiman. Participants will also enjoy a curated high tea
experience, interactive dialogue, book signing and
opportunities to interact with the speakers.
